# Connect OAK4 to Luxonis Hub

Use this guide when you want to adopt an OAK4 device into Luxonis Hub through the current OAK Viewer setup flow.

### Install OAK Viewer

OAK Viewer is a desktop GUI application that allows you to visualize the camera's streams and interact with the device. It is the
main way to connect your OAK4 camera to Luxonis Hub.

### Connect to Hub

If you want to connect the camera to Luxonis Hub and explore the ecosystem click on the "Adopt to Hub" button in the OAK Viewer,
confirm factory reset and select new password. Once setup is complete, a Hub tag will be shown on your device in OAK Viewer.

Step by step instructions:

#### Click Adopt to Hub

If you want to connect the camera to Luxonis Hub and explore the ecosystem, click the Adopt to Hub button in OAK Viewer.

#### Acknowledge data deletion

You will get a warning about on-device data deletion if you continue with the Hub setup. This deletes all user data, including
/data/ and the user overlay. After this step, you will be redirected to a web browser.

#### Insert new password

Insert your password and adjust the advanced settings if necessary.

#### Confirm successful finish

When you return to OAK Viewer, you should see a Hub tag next to your device, which indicates that the camera is successfully
connected to Luxonis Hub.

> **Connecting to Hub enables SSH**
> Devices running OS 1.18 or newer ship with password-based SSH disabled; completing Luxonis Hub setup turns SSH back on and
applies the password you configure in that flow.

### (Optional) Advanced Options

While setting the new password, you can also configure advanced options. Details are below:

Use DHCP
Enables your device to automatically obtain an IP address, subnet mask and gateway settings from a DHCP server in the network.

Enable SSH
Allows remote access to your device via the Secure Shell (SSH) protocol. Use this feature to securely configure or monitor the
device over an encrypted connection.

> For login, use the default username '
> **oak**
> ' and the camera password you defined during setup.

Require Internet Access
Device setup will not complete unless internet access can be established by the device.

Enable Error Reporting
Enable detailed error reporting to enhance troubleshooting and system diagnostics. By selecting this option, you allow the
collection of the following data: Pipeline Schema, Device Platform, OS Platform, Connection Type and Crash Dump. This information
is crucial for identifying and resolving issues more efficiently.

DepthAI Peripheral Mode
Enabling this option, exposes DepthAI server, giving access to the device from other hosts, using DepthAI library. This makes the
device act similar to the RVC2 (OAK) device.

Hostname
The unique name assigned to your device within the network. Use a descriptive and recognizable hostname for easier identification,
especially in environments with multiple devices.
